About Mellenza
Mellenza was built for one customer: a woman in her late forties or fifties who has noticed her hair changing — widening at the part, thinning at the crown, more shedding in the drain than she remembers — and who has been told, directly or by implication, that there isn't much to be done.
The premise of Mellenza is that the conventional framing is wrong.
What the research actually says
In 2011, a European dermatology research team published findings on androgenetic alopecia — including the menopausal version — that should have changed how women are counselled in consultation rooms. Fifteen years later, most women still aren't told.
The follicle does not die. It is chemically silenced.
DHT — dihydrotestosterone — binds at the follicle and shortens the anagen phase, which is the hair's growth phase. The follicle spends progressively less time producing hair and progressively more time dormant. Over months and years, the hair becomes finer and shorter until the follicle appears to have stopped producing at all.
But the follicle is still there. The stem cells are still there. The blood supply is still intact. It has been chemically pushed into extended dormancy by local DHT.
If you interrupt the local DHT, anagen extends. The follicle wakes up. Over months, the hair it produces becomes longer, thicker, more normal.
Why topical, and only topical
The silencing is happening at the follicle. The intervention has to happen there too.
That is the entire reason Mellenza is a topical scalp serum and not a supplement, a tablet, or a powder. It is sprayed on the scalp at night. Not swallowed.
It is not the only category of intervention available, and we make no claim that it replaces clinical care. It is the topical match for a topical mechanism.
The formulation
Five actives, each chosen against the mechanism described above:
- Caffeine — extends the anagen phase and is associated with reduced DHT activity at the follicle in topical application studies.
- Polygonum multiflorum root extract — examined in Korean dermatology research for its effects on follicle proliferation in vitro.
- L-arginine — supports microcirculation around the follicle, where nutrient delivery shapes what each new hair cycle has to work with.
- Biotin — supports the integrity of new hair as it emerges.
- Ginger root extract — included for its scalp-warming and anagen-support context.
What we don't do
We do not sell pills, tablets, capsules, or vitamins. We do not market the product as a "miracle." We do not claim guaranteed regrowth — hair growth is a cycle, the cycle takes time, and the response varies. We do not run flash sales designed to manufacture urgency.
Every product comes with a 90-day money-back guarantee. The protocol is twelve weeks because the hair cycle is twelve weeks. If after twelve weeks of daily use you can't see a meaningful difference in your day-1 and day-90 photographs, you get your money back. That is the test.
Where to start
If you've been carrying this quietly for a year or more, the place to start is reading the 12-week protocol and the ingredient evidence page. Then deciding whether the topical reframe makes sense to you.
Most women who try Mellenza have already tried other things. The product is built for that customer, not the one who has just noticed their first shed.
